Code of Conduct
By visiting and participating in any of the features and services
of Castle Albion's website, you automatically agree to abide by the following code
of acceptable conduct:
1) You are prohibited
from any of the following actions while visiting and using the features and services of Castle
Albion's website:
Posting any unlawful, libelous,
threatening, abusive, disruptive, obscene or vulgar material or message in violation of
the rights of any person, or which constitutes a criminal offense, or otherwise violate
any local, state, national, or international law.
Using any feature or service of Castle
Albion's website for advertising or promotion of a commercial product without the
express, written consent of the room owners.
Uploading or reproducing any information
protected by copyright, without first obtaining permission of the copyright owner.
Only public domain files, and files where the author has given you express consent
to copy and redistribute online or otherwise, may be uploaded to Castle Albion.
Uploading files containing computer
viruses or other disruptive programs.
Enganging or participating in abusive
behavior, either in chat rooms or other public forms of interaction. Such abusive
behavior includes, but is not limited to: vulgar, obscene, racist, or other
offensive language, harassment of other users, or purposefully disrupting the enjoyment of
Castle Albion by others.
Impersonating another user or member of Castle
Albion Staff.
Acquiring or attempting to acquire
passwords (passcodes), credit card numbers, financial or other personal information from
any visitor or user of Castle Albion.
Using a vulgar, obscene or otherwise
offensive handle or screen name.
Specifics Regarding Chat
Conduct:
Use of profane and/or vulgar language is
strictly prohibited in any Public Room of Castle Albion's Chat.
Any explicit sexual behavior or actions
are strictly prohibited in any Public Room of Castle Albion's Chat.
Any discussion or mention of illegal
activities is strictly prohibited in Castle Albion's Chat. This includes,
but is not limited, to any discussion or mention of illegal drug use, hacking, phreaking,
and the transfer of illegal pornographic material.
Any solicitation or advertising of
commercial products, websites, or services is strictly prohibited in any Public Room of
Castle Albion's Chat
Any method or means of 'spamming' is
strictly prohibited in any Public Room of Castle Albion's Chat or directed
privately to any individual using the private message Chat Command. This
includes, but is not limited to the following examples: scrolling, repetition of the
same line of text in excess of three times, or lines containing excessive 'garbage'
characters.
Any abusive or harassing behavior
directed toward any one individual or group of individuals, either in public or by using
the private message Chat Command, is strictly prohibited.
Any method or means of 'spoofing' text,
so that it appears as if another users has written it, is strictly prohibited in any
Public Room of Castle Albion's Chat.
Any method or means of disruptive
behavior is strictly prohibited in the Public Rooms of Castle Albion's Chat.
Disruptive is defined as impeding the normal flow of discussion through any means.
Specifics Regarding Chat Conduct in
The Public Tavern:
Any and all Arena Style Combat is
prohibited in the Public Tavern. Arena Style Combat is limited to the GM driven
events, any private room.
2) Information, content and materials which you find published on Castle Albion's
website may be the property of the owners of this website or others, and are
protected by copyright and/or registered trademarks. You may not copy,
redistribute, use or commercially exploit such materials without the express written
permission of the owner(s).
3) Castle Albion may terminate/delete your character, temporarily or
permanently ban you from all or specific areas of Castle Albion's website, or take
any other action, if it believes, in its sole discretion, that you have violated any of
the items listed in this Acceptable Code of Conduct.
